Hello friends, I wanted to share my coaching journey, hope it inspires & is helpful in your journey...

Working as a Chief Financial Officer (for over 30 years), I took pride in my work, but never been able to take care of my physical or mental health, not to mention the stress of the job with sleepless nights.​

I had to manage millions of dollars from Federal, state and local funds. This wasn’t the lifestyle I wanted for the rest of my life. ​​

Shortly after I was introduced to John Maxwell’s world, I was hooked. I felt like this was what I needed to get my message out and live a life with a larger meaning and purpose.​​

Few months later, I got certified and I felt like I was finally getting closer to my dream life. I felt I was in alignment with who I was meant to be. ​​

I decided to niche down to work with coaches, entrepreneurs and professionals, I spent a fortune to build my website, unfortunately, no one knew about it.​​

Then, I contacted local companies and got some traction, did a few training sessions on leadership and communication, but not enough money to sustain an independent business.​​

I thought that I needed to give free coaching sessions and do lunch and learn seminars. People started to show up and they’re excited and all but not a single paying client, I don’t know what was the case but it seems like they’re not expecting an offer.​​

That got me very frustrated and stressed…​​

My last resort was to join the local chamber, other local organizations, and speak to various groups online, but with everything I have tried, I’d not landed any paying clients…​​

Stress got even higher and I started to get desperate, ​ burn out and that showed up in every area of my life, and reminded me of the days back when I used to be a CFO.​​

I saw so many successful coaches, why was my reality so different?​​

Maybe I wasn’t good enough? Maybe this wasn’t for me?​​

What would I say to my wife? What would you say?​​

That year was a complete struggle for me, emotionally, spiritually, personally, physically. I tried everything that I knew but nothing worked. Going from a double six figure income to this situation was not something I had envisioned.​​

This is especially true as my wife was working hard to provide for us when nothing of what I was doing seemed to work and show results or little glimpses of hope.​​

Seeing my fund depleting, I was overwhelmed, should I go back to be a CFO again? ​​

I remember what John says, for every new step ahead you have to sometimes go back two steps, mine was bigger since I didn’t have much social proof.​​

I hit rock bottom and I had to admit that I needed help, so I decided to hire a coach with the little funds I had left.​​

Within a few short months, I learned something so profound, I realized that I didn’t have a qualified tribe, my message wasn’t clear and I didn’t stand out from the crowd. ​​

This was a turning point for me, from there, I went from struggling to land clients, feeling rejected to attracting clients everywhere, getting more qualified prospects and have more confidence.​​

I was finally able to crack the code, and I’m currently on a run rate of making more than I was making as a CFO.​

Looking back, I believe those are the 3 principle that made all the difference, at least for me:​​

Having the right mindset​

Once I clarified an irresistible offer, communicated my true value as a coach, it boosted my confidence and gave me certainty to raise my rates and charge what I deserve. It wasn’t an easy process but it was well worth it.​

​Being great at coaching doesn’t mean being great at marketing​

I realized that a website with nobody seeing it won’t make a difference, I had to learn how to build my tribe and offer value, that was the biggest growth task for me.​

Without a tribe of following, sales become so inconsistent.​

​Ask for help​

I had to be vulnerable and admit that I needed help. Investing in yourself is the key. So I sought help from other coaches, specialists and also realized that all top coaches have coaches, I believe a must for success.​​

Every day I am grateful for this journey and now being able to help other coaches. I am grateful for all my coaches and mentors and their teaching which has made all the difference and look forward to making a difference and that in return is making a difference in my life both financially and mentally.

This is why I created my system.

Now over the years I have shared my system and I have helped many of my friends and colleagues recover from some of the same mistakes that I had made and the other mistakes that many people make that prevent people from reaching success.
